Our Story
Old Lore Records was created to serve the artists that keep music industry running, and to create an environment where first nations artists can thrive. We are dedicated to making a real change and providing the education and pathways that are required to make a lasting successful career in the industry.
In 2024 Peter Thornley set out with a mission to develop three first nations artists in the first ever old lore program "Old Lore & Young Bloods". From that came something much more, a team dedicated to creating a space where other artists can come and create anything they could need on their creative journey and so old lore records was born.
We are dedicated to creating a community of like minded artists from all walks of life to build and support each other each step of the way.
In 2025 we aim to create:
- Access to industry pathways that connect First Nations artists with resources, mentors, and professional networks.
- Support artistic growth, helping creatives take the next step in their careers.
- Development networks and opportunities covering areas such as production, multimedia creation, social media, marketing, and PR.
